Well it’s been a little while since I’ve written a blog post and wanted to explain what happened.
In April this year, some inappropriate material was found on this website. Thankfully it was not accessible from the navigation of this site, however I was so paranoid that someone may accidentally come across this content that I didn’t want to post anything or send traffic to the site until this was fixed.
Days turned into weeks…. Weeks turned into months and we finally got the new website live. The inappropriate content is gone and safeguards are now in place, however we still have many tweaks that we need to make to the site. But you know what?I have been sitting on this waiting for the website to be perfect and all fixed before writing another post and sending people here. I was also so worried because it was been so long, people may not remember who we are and what we are actually all about! As a result, I did NOTHING!
So here I am, getting off my butt today to get this post live to explain what’s been happening.
Not sure if you can relate. Perhaps it’s been a little while since you’ve sent an email to your list or updated content on your website and you’re not sure where to start. My big lesson is just start!
The longer time goes on, the harder it is to get going and actually it is never as hard as what you think it is.
Remember, something out there is better than nothing out there!
Apart from the website rebuild and a number of issues with that (theme conflicts, upgrading themes, moving website developers etc etc), there has been many exciting things going on at Streamline For Success.
We have been working with many clients on different projects, including multi-event registration setup, creating marketing funnels, implementing Jeff Walker’s product launch formula, setting up internal work flows for consulting clients to kick off automation to their clients saving them hours, setup appointment scheduling for a sales team, implementing member attendance tracking for a gym, setting up funnel reporting for a speaker and so much more!
We love what we do and hopefully by sharing this honest post about what’s been stopping us, will give you some reassurance that we all have things that stop us.
Sometimes we just need to push through and just start.
As I was looking for an image to go with this post, I came across some pictures about starting a race.
You may recall as a kid, lining up to run the 100 metres. I’m not sure about you but I recall being incredibly nervous, palms sweaty and my heart beating in anticipation for the gun to sound. I’d thought about the race for quite a while before and I knew what I needed to do, it was just a matter of now making it happen. The energy that was required to move from a crouched starting position to a vertical position was a lot. But as soon as I was vertical, my body flowed into my normal running posture. Now I may not have won the race, but I started and the momentum that I created from the start activity got me through to the end.
Trust me, starting is the hardest part as I feel a huge sense of relief today finishing this post (in fact I’ve already got another one written full of great tips that I’ll be sharing shortly).
Thank you for sticking with us and being part of our growing community. What can you start today?
