If you’re wondering where your Keap or Infusionsoft API key is, then the following videos will take you through the steps to find your encrypted key. If you haven’t set one up before or unsure if you have or not, then follow the steps below too.
An API key is used to connect or integrate your Keap/Infusionsoft app to other third-party plugins, apps or software.
A couple of words of CAUTION first:
- Only share your key with developers or other people that you trust
- Most third-party systems, once you enter the key, it will become encrypted so you can’t see it again (helping to keep it secure)
- If you’re setting up a new key, please save your API Passphrase (this is needed should you wish to reset your key)
- As a bonus tip, I’d recommend making a list of all the systems that you’re integrating with by using this key. (I had a client who needed to re-set their API Key, but they didn’t know what would break if they did that… 😟). Don’t let that be you!
