In case you missed it, big news…
Keap is being acquired by Thryv.
Keap CEO Clate Mask will step down from his leadership role into an advisory position.
Having been part of a few acquisitions in my past HR life, this can be a very uncertain time for a lot of people – users, employees, and partners.
No doubt like me, you have lots of questions, but probably we can’t get any answers right now.
But please know this.
Keap is still a solid platform.
Thryv would not purchase the company if Keap didn’t have a quality product, and they are not going to get rid of a healthy stream of subscription-based revenue.
If anything, I’m hopeful that with additional resources from Thryv that more development and enhancements will be released to make Keap even better.
Now, you may have seen our announcement over the last week, we have decided to offer a new CRM, HighLevel By Streamline For Success, as an alternative to Keap.
Clearly, we had no idea that a Keap acquisition was happening, or that it was going to be announced today!
So I want to say a few things about this.
If you use Keap and you’re happy with the platform, please hang in there, and see what benefits will come out of this announcement.
If you use Keap and you’re on the fence whether you should continue using it or not, please reach out and I’m happy to have a chat with you.
Having spoken with several businesses lately, sometimes it’s just having a conversation with someone who’s in this space and knows what’s involved with setting up a CRM, can provide another perspective. Even if it’s just to give you some reassurance that you’re in the right place. That’s okay too.
I want to take this opportunity to publicly thank Clate Mask and Scott Martineau for all that they have done for Keap. This isn’t quite the result of getting Keap listed, but this is an incredible achievement for any business to be acquired. I would not be doing what I love today if it wasn’t for what you both have done. I am forever grateful.
In case you didn’t see it, here is the official announcement of the Thryv acquisition of Keap.
